Ships Have Sailed
Ships Have Sailed, an alternative pop-rock trio hailing from Los Angeles, debuted their first EP, Someday in 2014, which gained heavy airplay on College, NPR, and commercial radio in the US and Canada. Someday garnered praise from many blogs and publications regarding its simple, yet fluid and fresh sound: "An astonishingly complete piece of work, filled with the emotional nuances of our late adolescence filtered through the whimsical songwriting of huge indie pop." -Ryan Merkel, The Levity Ball “Plays like an easy, breezy feel-good movie. You know the kind. Ships Have Sailed’s sound is light and refreshing, but with lyrical heart that sweeps you away over and over again." -Sandy Lo, Half Full Magazine Someday’s success inspired the band to tour the East Coast, during which they began piecing together their first full length album, Moodswings. Moodswings, out March 10th, 2015, veers away from today’s single-driven musical climate with a well-rounded, full-length story intended to be heard from the beginning to the end. The album’s theme echoes the band’s name, a positive spin on the phrase “That ship has sailed,” as it meditates on change’s ability to impact one’s life at any moment.
