Genesis Elijah
Brixton born Hip-Hop artist Genesis Elijah is one of the most respected names in the UK Hip-Hop scene and has been since his emergence in 2005. In 2005 Genesis Elijah released the critically acclaimed album Deh Pon Road which featured Hip-Hop heavy weights Klashnekoff, Skinnyman, Kyza, Skriblah and Wordsmith. The album was given rave reviews with the single 'Jah Bless' finding a spot on the BBC's 1xtra A list play list. 'Deh Pon Road' is considered by most as a UK Hip-Hop classic. In 2006 Genesis Elijah released his mixtape 'The Industrial Revolution'. This featured Sway, Dip Sets Tom Gist and Dubbledge. This went on to sell over 20,000 copies as well as getting international air play. In 2007 Genesis Elijah hooked up with Brake Beat legends Atomic Hooligan featuring on they're album 'Sex, Drugs & Blah Blah Blah' and then went on to go on tour with them across Europe as well as the festival circuit including Glastonbury and Glade. Atomic Hooligan went on to win the award for 'Best Live Act' at the 2008 Breakspoll Break Beat Awards. After almost a three year hiatus away from the Hip-Hop scene Genesis Elijah returned with the street banger 'I'm Doing It' at the end of 2009. 'I'm Doing It' went on blow up on the blogs and YouTube sparking rumours of a full comeback. Never one to disappoint his supporters Genesis Elijah got together with producer Beezwax to release the much anticipated 'Civil Unrest' EP in 2010. Over the years Genesis Elijah has performed all over the world with artist such as KRS One, Wu Tang, Talib Kweli, Souls Of Mischief, Blak Twang, Phi Life Cypher, Jehst to name a few and has collaborated with the best in the business. Genesis is currently working on numerous projects including his next mixtape 'I Ain't Even Started Bruv'. Genesis Elijah continues to make a name for himself as one of the most hard working and consistent artist in the game. Look out for big things from big GE.
