Coyote Ghost is a Chicago roots rock band from Chicago, IL. This is the debut album of original material written by singer-songwriter Peter Toutant and Coyote Ghost, which also features drummer Matt Velasco (Faintlife), pianist Jon Wade (Jonathan Wade Trio) and bassist Mike Morgan (Catfish & the Dogstars). The band-members' seemingly disparate stylings bring funk, jazz, blues & folk rock together for a brand of rock that eludes categorization or comparison. Yet, the raw takes and classic rock instrumentation leave the original material with a timeless feel. Coyote Ghost brings the raw roots groove found on the album to their live sets, but their musicianship and material has been impressively captured by recording engineer Jeremy Chereskin for their independently released freshman record.
