Slow
Dj Lora brings us this stellar ep titled "Slow" that is guaranteed to set the dance floor ablaze!! Although Dj Lora is somewhat of a newcomer to producing, she recently had one of her first two releases on Toolroom break into the top 100 for deep house!! This is virtually unheard of for someones 2nd release to achieve this feat but Dj Lora is slowly carving her way to becoming a much-respected producer. So where did Lora catch the music bug? Laura is the daughter of a much acclaimed Jazz musician, but she simply puts it down to its in my bones. The title track "Slow" is somewhere in between deep & tech house and is all the way live! If you like your bass lines chuggin then you're going to love "Slow." In fact, we loved Slow so much that we enlisted one of our newest favorite duos in Sick Elektrik to remix it. Sick Elektrik take us into the deep side of the pool with their rendition and we think this remix is going to be absolutely MASSIVE among the deep house elite. Rounding out this stunning ep we have "Gypsy Woman." Gypsy Woman uses an all too familiar sample that has been used before but we feel as though Lora really does this version justice and uses the sample more effectively than anyone has in the past. With a bouncy bass line and vocal samples used in all the right places we can see this one being played by all of the major players. This one has underground anthem written all over it. Any and all feedback, charts, radio plays, etc. are greatly appreciated. "Slow" Written & Produced by Laura Elliott aka Dj Lora for Blockhead Recordings (p) (c) 2013.
