This compilation CD is brought to you by No Coast Records. It features 5 different artist with their own unique style of delivery. It has all original music arranged and produced by the owner known as Skoney. Skoney comes from a soulful background where he was surrounded by music from a very early age. Skoney has brought together on this CD a wonderful blend of talent from Raggae, R&B, and Rap. Our first artists, AMP which stands for "About Money and Power" are two young men from East St. Louis, Illinois who have been rapping since the age of 15. AMP brings a very high enery stage performance with a "spit in your face" delivery. Our next artist known as "E" originally from Franklin, Louisana, relocated to the East St. Louis area and brought with him his unique powerful and soulful voice, reminiscent of Gerald Levert, Teddy Pendegras, and Anthony Hamilton. Ras Kahlid from East St. Louis, Illinois has a gifted talent which allows him to combine roots, rap, and crooning into a flavorful rasta sound. Mika from East St. Louis, Illinois a soulful songtress has the ability to woo her audience with her powerful, yet seductive voice, reminiscent of Anita Baker and Natalie Cole. Last, but certainly not least our own Crystal from East St. Louis, Illinois can tame the wild beast with her soul searching, spiritual uplifting vocals.
