The Main Event
The bLUES bUSTERS, from Powell River, BC, Canada, were founded in 2003. Led by guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Ron Campbell, the band also includes Dennis Fox (bass, vocals), Ted Durnin (sax, vocals), and Neko (drums). The Main Event (Ron's sixth album) is 16 original songs recorded and produced at Ron's own Dirt Road Studios. Guitar-based electric Blues is the bLUES bUSTERS' main thing, but within that category the style and mood changes quite a bit from tune to tune. There are relationship songs (beginning of a relationship, love songs, and breakup hurtin' songs), and lots of good-time party tunes. DETAILED TRACK NOTES: 1.
