They combine a harmonical knowledge and musical aesthetic that goes a lot further than today's advanced pop bands. It's a futuristic, danceable rock sound, always two steps ahead in the evolution of today's pop music. That's why bands like Hot Chip and Queens of the Stone Age declare themselves true fans of WhoMadeWho. (Hot Chip asked to remix their first single "Tv Friend"; Josh Homme even covers WhoMadeWho's very first single "Space for Rent" on his solo tours. Combining diveristy and complexity but at the same time a simplicity and depth that's quite unique in today's music. Call it New Age Dance Pop. Call it Advanced Indie Disco.
