Since gaining the distinction of obtaining the higest award possible for musicical performance at the Royal conservatory in The Hague, Andreja has gone on to enjoy a solo career that has brought her to Holland ,Germany Sweden,Spain,China,Israel Switzerland,France the Czech Republic and America. In 1988 Andreja was one of the youngest principals to be appointed to the National Symphony orchestra of Ireland and has appeared as soloist many times with the NSOI.Playing works by Debussy,Handel,Ginastera, Murray- Schafer and the concerto especially written for her by Philip Martin(Marco Polo). "Andreja Malir plays with complete conviction and seduces the ear with her gossamer like sound... this is playing of the higest artistry" Andreja is a fellow of Trinity College London and holds a diploma in Spanish music awarded to her by the legendary harpist Nicanor Zabaleta.More recently Andreja has fulfilled her ambition to combine her skill as a composer to create something really new in the concert harp."Through The Mirror Of Sound" brings the beautiful sonoroties of the harp to a wider audience and creats a new image for this most ethereal of instruments.
